Drum Chipper HX426

The drum chipper is a specialized equipment for producing wood chips. It is widely used in the preparation section of industrial production such as particle board, fiberboard, and papermaking. The drum chipper has a wide adaptability to raw materials, capable of cutting not only logs and small diameter materials but also various logging and processing residues, as well as non-wood herbaceous plants like bamboo and cotton stalks. It features a compact and reasonable structure, high production capacity, low energy consumption, safety and reliability, easy maintenance, and simple operation. Therefore, drum chippers are commonly used in the engineered wood industry.

The machine consists of a base, knife roller, upper and lower feeding rollers, conveyor belt, hydraulic system, and other components.

The base is welded from high cavity steel plates, serving as the supporting foundation for the entire machine; two flying knives are installed on the knife roller, fixed in place with specially manufactured flying knife bolts and pressure blocks; depending on the thickness of the raw materials being cut, the upper feeding roller assembly can float up and down within a certain range using the hydraulic system; qualified chip materials cut off fall through the mesh holes, with a bottom discharge, while larger chip materials will be further cut inside the machine.

Hydraulic system: Oil is supplied to the oil cylinder by a hand pump, allowing the cover to be opened for easy blade replacement. During maintenance, the upper feeding roller assembly can be lifted to facilitate the adjustment of the gap between the flying knife and the bottom knife, as well as the disassembly of the comb plate.
