The wood peeling machine, also known as the wood debarking machine, is one of the products in the wood processing machinery series; as the name suggests, the wood peeling machine removes the bark from the wood.
The wood peeling machine mainly consists of a feeding mechanism, a discharge mechanism, a knife disc, a transmission system, and a base frame.
Features
Uses four-sided blade tools
Composition
Feeding mechanism, discharge mechanism
Introduction to the peeling machine
The peeling machine is suitable for large, medium, and small paper mills, pulp mills, chip mills, wood processing plants, forestry farms, wood storage yards, and engineered wood factories (such as plywood factories, medium-density fiberboard factories, etc.). In the southern forest areas of China (Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Sichuan, Hainan, etc.), the bark must be removed before logging.
The peeling machine utilizes the unique force generated by a rotor with peeling teeth, causing continuous friction, impact, and compression between wood segments and between wood segments and the trough, allowing the bark to separate quickly, achieving the effect of a high-speed rotor peeling machine.
Features of the peeling machine:
1. Uses four-sided blade tools, easy to use, and low cost.
2. The knife disc pressure is controlled by hydraulics, with an advanced structure and reliable performance.
3. The feeding mechanism uses stepless speed regulation, providing excellent peeling results for difficult-to-peel species such as frozen wood, bent wood, eucalyptus, oak, and elm.
4. High peeling cleanliness, high productivity, and minimal wood damage.
Working principle of the peeling machine
1. The peeling machine uses an open material warehouse, allowing for a continuous flow operation where material is fed in from one end and discharged from the other, overcoming the disadvantages of existing drum-type peeling machines that stop feeding and discharging during power outages, resulting in high work efficiency.
2. Due to the impact of the teeth on the wood segments, the wood segments not only perform circular motion within the machine casing but also rotate around their own axis, resulting in high efficiency of the peeling machine, with good peeling results for difficult-to-peel species such as eucalyptus and poplar, achieving a cleanliness rate of over 95%.
3. The wood peeling machine has strong adaptability to different tree species, diameters, lengths, and shapes of wood segments. Due to the rotational motion and irregular bouncing of the wood segments, the concave parts of bent wood can also make good contact with the peeling teeth. Therefore, the peeling rate for bent logs is much higher than that of other drum-type machines.
4. The wood peeling machine has a large fixed casing, resulting in low energy consumption, low failure rate, minimal maintenance workload, and significantly lower vibration and noise compared to drum peeling machines. The wood peeling machine can start production immediately upon placement, even without the need for a base installation, making it convenient to use. The applicable range of the peeling machine: suitable for peeling newly felled coniferous wood and some broadleaf wood, and can also handle some frozen and dry wood.
